Today is the first time in 2010 I write a post on this blog, but it will also be the last. After six months, my assignment in Cluj is coming to an end, and I will fly back to Boston this Friday. I have been somewhat busy this beginning of the year, going again to India and USA, plus, admittedly the weather was not really enticing to tourism. It’s been a great adventure overall, and even if I’m disappointed I could not achieve all that I wanted, both professionally and personally, this will remain a fantastic experience.
Now, I look forward to spending time with the family, sailing through Boston Harbor islands, hiking the trails of New England and riding my Suzuki Intruder to work.

I saw today an exhibit at the art museum on black and white photographs of KORNISS PÉTER. The pictures cover daily life in Romania from 1967 to 2004, in areas where traditions have been preserved intact over the years. Looking at the pictures, one has to wonder whether people here are happier these days with so-called “modern life”.
Today, I walked up the hill to the Belvedere Hotel and took this and last picture of the city.
Until next time, Ciao, Cluj!
